KONSEP SPLDV</mods:title></mods:titleInfo><mods:name type="personal"><mods:namePart type="given">Elena Trida</mods:namePart><mods:namePart type="family">Navisa</mods:namePart><mods:role><mods:roleTerm type="text">author</mods:roleTerm></mods:role></mods:name><mods:abstract>This study aims to determine the effectiveness and influence of implementing the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by ChatGPT on students' mathematical concept understanding of Systems of Linear Equations in Two Variables (SPLDV) at SMPN 38 Kota Bekasi. The background of this research is based on the low level of students' conceptual understanding identified from suboptimal learning outcomes, as well as the need for integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to overcome students' learning obstacles personally. This study employed a quasi-experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Data collection techniques used essay test instruments (pretest and posttest) that have been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis techniques utilized descriptive statistics and the non-parametric Mann-Whitney U hypothesis test. The results indicated that the improvement in mathematical concept understanding of students who received learning with the ChatGPT-assisted PBL model was significantly higher compared to students who received learning with the PBL model without ChatGPT assistance. This is evidenced by the average NGain score of the experimental class, which falls into the high category, while the control class is in the low category.
