The research employed a descriptive quantitative method with data collected through questionnaires and essays. The study focuses on assessing how well students are prepared to enter the workforce. Based on data obtained from the Curriculum Division, the 2023 employment absorption rate for TKR graduates indicated that 49% of students were employed, while 51% remained untracked. This finding suggests that students’ work readiness still requires improvement to align with the objectives of vocational education. The questionnaire results revealed that the students’ overall level of work readiness was categorized as high, consisting of 3 students in the very high category, 23 in high, 18 in moderate, 8 in low, and 6 in very low categories. Meanwhile, the essay results indicated that adaptability in the work environment was the most influential factor contributing to students’ readiness, primarily due to the internship programs conducted by the school. However, psychological maturity was identified as a relatively weaker factor, as most students were still in the process of developing decision-making skills. Overall, the findings show that Grade XII TKR students at SMKN 1 Malingping possess a high level of work readiness, which can be further enhanced through the improvement of technical, mental, and interpersonal skills.
