Using the product moment correlation method and t-test, this research was conducted at SMP Negeri 4 Solear with a population of 229 students and a sample of 62 students. Data were collected using questionnaires that measure audio listening ability, visual listening ability, and narrative writing ability. This study tested three main hypotheses: the relationship between audio listening ability and narrative writing ability, the relationship between visual listening ability and narrative writing ability, and the relationship between audio and visual listening abilities together with narrative writing ability.&#13;
The analysis results showed that the hypothesis stating a relationship between audio listening ability and narrative writing ability was not supported, with a correlation coefficient value of r = 0.209, which is smaller than the r-table value of 0.244 at a 5% significance level. Similarly, the hypothesis stating a relationship between visual listening ability and narrative writing ability was not supported, with a correlation coefficient value of r = 0.206, also smaller than the r-table value of 0.244.
