description: Coffee (Coffea sp.) is a significant plantation commodity in Indonesia, widely cultivated by smallholders using environmentally friendly management systems that preserve soil fertility and biodiversity. Ecologically friendly management practices implemented on coffee plantations support the sustainability of various insect species, which play a crucial role in maintaining the balance of the plantation ecosystem. Within the coffee plantation ecosystem, insects play essential roles, including those of pests, pollinators, predators, decomposers, and bioindicators, which support the balance of the ecosystem, soil fertility, and the quality and quantity of coffee production. They also act as plant pests that can reduce coffee bean yield and quality. This research employed a descriptive, exploratory approach. Data was collected through direct field observation using trapping methods. The traps used were a pitfall trap, a yellow pan trap, and a light trap method in three different locations. Sampling was conducted four times at seven-day intervals. The collected insects were then identified, and their diversity, dominance, and evenness indices were calculated. The research results identified six orders and 21 families across the three locations. These insect orders consist of Orthoptera, Hemiptera, Lepidoptera, Coleoptera, Hymenoptera, Diptera, and Blattodea. The diversity indices at locations I, II, and III were 1.51, -0.11, and 1.99, respectively. The dominance indices at locations I, II, and III were 0.44, 0.11, and 0.21, respectively. The evenness indices at locations I, II, and III were 0.26, -0.02, and 0.44, respectively.
