N2  - This undergraduate thesis examines of Pair-Work strategy in teaching 
procedural texts to improve the speaking skills of MTsS Al-Muttaqin ninth-grade
 students. The study aimed to determine whether the use of paired exercises had a 
significant impact on the oral skills of MTsS Al-Muttaqin ninth-grade students when 
learning procedural text materials. The researcher adopted a quantitative research 
method with a quasi experimental design and a non-equivalent control group. The 
sample included two classes: Class IX.A as the experimental group and Class IX.C 
as the control group, with 26 students in each class. The research instruments included 
a pre-test and a post-test, which required students to create a procedural text on how 
something can be operated or made. The data collected from the students' test results 
were analyzed using IBM SPSS 27. The analysis included validity, reliability, 
normality, and homogeneity tests, hypothesis testing, and t-tests with effect size 
measurements. The hypothesis test results indicated that the t-test value was greater 
than the t-table value (5.933 > 2.00), leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis 
and acceptance of the alternative hypothesis. In conclusion, the Pair-Work strategy 
was influential in improving students' speaking skills in the ninth grade at MTsS Al-
Muttaqin. Therefore, it is recommended as an alternative strategy for teaching 
speaking skills

N1  - Tesis sarjana ini mengkaji strategi Pair-Work dalam pengajaran teks prosedural untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas sembilan MTsS Al-Muttaqin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan apakah penggunaan latihan berpasangan memiliki dampak yang signifikan terhadap keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas sembilan MTsS Al-Muttaqin ketika mempelajari materi teks prosedural. Peneliti mengadopsi metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain kuasi-eksperimental dan kelompok kontrol non-ekuivalen. Sampelnya meliputi dua kelas: Kelas IX.A sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan Kelas IX.C sebagai kelompok kontrol, dengan 26 siswa di setiap kelas. Instrumen penelitian meliputi pre-test dan post-test, yang mengharuskan siswa untuk membuat teks prosedural tentang bagaimana sesuatu dapat dioperasikan atau dibuat. Data yang dikumpulkan dari hasil tes siswa dianalisis menggunakan IBM SPSS 27. Analisis tersebut meliputi uji validitas, reliabilitas, normalitas, dan homogenitas, pengujian hipotesis, dan uji-t dengan pengukuran ukuran efek. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa nilai t-test lebih besar daripada nilai t-tabel (5,933 > 2,00), sehingga hipotesis nol ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif diterima. Kesimpulannya, strategi Pair-Work berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas sembilan di MTsS Al-Muttaqin. Oleh karena itu, strategi ini direkomendasikan sebagai strategi alternatif untuk pengajaran keterampilan berbicara.
