The study aimed to determine whether the use of paired exercises had a significant impact on the oral skills of MTsS Al-Muttaqin ninth-grade students when learning procedural text materials. The researcher adopted a quantitative research method with a quasi experimental design and a non-equivalent control group. The sample included two classes: Class IX.A as the experimental group and Class IX.C as the control group, with 26 students in each class. The research instruments included a pre-test and a post-test, which required students to create a procedural text on how something can be operated or made. The data collected from the students' test results were analyzed using IBM SPSS 27. The analysis included validity, reliability, normality, and homogeneity tests, hypothesis testing, and t-tests with effect size measurements. The hypothesis test results indicated that the t-test value was greater than the t-table value (5.933 > 2.00), leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis and acceptance of the alternative hypothesis. In conclusion, the Pair-Work strategy was influential in improving students' speaking skills in the ninth grade at MTsS Al- Muttaqin.
