One of human activities such as the use of fossil fuels that result in increased carbon dioxide or CO2 emissions. Carbon emissions are the release of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases into the earth's atmosphere. The Paris Agreement is an international treaty or agreement with the main objective of addressing climate change globally through more inclusive and binding international cooperation for countries that ratify it. On that basis, the author discusses namely: first, What are the Implications of the Ratification of the 2015 Paris Agreement on Climate Change for Indonesia in Controlling Carbon Emissions?. Second, What is the Responsibility of the Indonesian Government in Controlling Carbon Emissions? The main emphasis in reducing carbon emissions will be focused on the transportation sector and the energy sector. The author uses normative and empirical legal methods, the research specifications used are descriptive analytical, the main data is in the form of secondary data (primary, secondary and tertiary legal materials) which are analyzed qualitatively. The results of this study are that the implications of the ratification of the Paris Agreement on Indonesia. First: With its ratification by Indonesia and ratified by law, the Paris Agreement is part of positive law in Indonesia and has implications for the emergence of obligations and rights for Indonesia to reduce global temperatures below 2°C and to continue to make efforts to limit temperature increases. Second: It has implications for forming programs in the transportation and energy sectors. The government's responsibility in reducing carbon emissions has not yet had a significant effect on climate change, especially in the energy and transportation sectors. Although the Paris Agreement encourages countries to achieve emission reduction targets, its implementation depends on voluntary actions, without a firm legal strengthening mechanism due to the absence of sanctions. A number of regulations that the Indonesian government has passed have not been able to resolve this problem. So the Paris Agreement needs to be equipped with firm sanctions for countries that do not fulfill their NDC obligations depending on the level of violation so that countries comply so that national regulations, especially the Indonesian government, are serious in their implementation and clear. date: 2025 type: Thesis type: NonPeerReviewed format: text language: id identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/53963/1/FAIDATUL%20MAKIYAH_7773230051_Fulltext.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/53963/2/FAIDATUL%20MAKIYAH_7773230051_01.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/53963/3/FAIDATUL%20MAKIYAH_7773230051_02.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/53963/5/FAIDATUL%20MAKIYAH_7773230051_04.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/53963/6/FAIDATUL%20MAKIYAH_7773230051_05.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/53963/7/FAIDATUL%20MAKIYAH_7773230051_Ref.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/53963/8/FAIDATUL%20MAKIYAH_7773230051_Lamp.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/53963/18/FAIDATUL%20MAKIYAH_7773230051_03.pdf identifier: Makiyah, Faidatul (2025) IMPLIKASI RATIFIKASI PERJANJIAN PARIS TENTANG PERUBAHAN IKLIM BAGI INDONESIA.
