description: Eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) is a horticultural commodity with high demand in  Indonesia. Increasing eggplant production is necessary to meet market demand. Pests are  animals that can damage plants, affecting production levels. The aim of this study was to  determine the effect of different concentrations and intervals of papaya leaf extract  application on the growth and yield of eggplant. The study used a Randomized Block  Design (RBD) with two factorials: papaya leaf extract concentration (P) with five levels:  P0 = 0 g/l, P1 = 40 g/l, P2 = 60 g/l, P3 = 80 g/l, P4 = 100 g/l, and the interval of papaya  leaf extract application (W) with three levels: W1 = every 4 days, W2 = every 6 days, W3  = every 8 days. The parameters observed in this study included plant height, flowering age,  types of pests attacking, number of fruits per plant, and fruit weight per plant. The results  showed that the application of papaya leaf extract had a significant effect on plant height,  number of fruits per plant, and fruit weight per plant. The best treatment was the papaya  leaf extract concentration of P3 (80 g/l) with the interval of W1 (every 4 days).
