Debus art is one of the local cultural practices that holds potential to be explored as a science learning source. Through an ethnoscience approach, indigenous scientific knowledge embedded in Debus can be analyzed and reconstructed into applicable scientific knowledge. This study aimed to examine the scientific concepts found in Debus art, particularly in the techniques used, as a form of local knowledge reconstructed into scientific knowledge, and to determine its relevance to the Science Learning Outcomes at the junior high school level. This research employed a case study design with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation at three Debus schools (padepokan) in Banten Province. The findings showed that the use of golok (machetes) and Al Madad involved physics concepts such as pressure and center of mass, and biological concepts such as muscle tissue and human anatomy and physiology. Fire techniques involved physics concepts of heat and heat transfer, and chemical concepts of combustion reactions. Brick-breaking techniques were related to the physics concepts of force and pressure. The reconstruction of this local knowledge showed direct relevance to junior high school science outcomes, particularly in topics of force and motion, heat, chemical changes, muscle cells, organ structures and functions, life cycles, human sensory organs, and pressure.
