However, conventional drying still has many limitations, such as dependence on weather and uneven heat distribution. This study aims to simulate the performance of an indirect solar dryer for seaweed by varying the air velocity (0.3 m/s, 0.5 m/s, 2 m/s, and 5 m/s) using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) through Solidworks Flow Simulation software. The parameters analyzed include surface temperature distribution, airflow path, and thermal efficiency of the drying system. The simulation results show that increasing air velocity leads to more uniform temperature distribution, particularly at 5 m/s, with a maximum temperature of 46.65°C. The airflow path at high speeds also showed a comprehensive flow pattern that reached all racks, including the bottom, which was previously not well ventilated at low speeds.
