description: Education has a crucial role in building human resources to build awareness and care for the environment through various approaches, such as the implementation of the 3 (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) program which is a step to foster a sense of concern and sensitivity to the environment. Providing education about the environment to students can help students understand the issue of environmental problems because waste problems can occur on a small scale, such as waste that is not managed properly in the school environment. This research uses descriptive method and qualitative approach through data obtained primary and secondary with interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The results of this study indicate that the 3R program provides changes in the awareness of students in an attitude of environmental care, forming behavior, and a good mindset related to a friendly environment, and creating a healthy environment.
