High schools subject: Q Science (General) description: This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the OIDDE learning model in improving the critical thinking skills of 10th grade students at SMAN 8 Pandeglang on the subject of environmental change and conservation. The research method used was a quasi-experiment with a non-randomized control group pretest and posttest study design. The population of this study was all class X students at SMAN 8 Pandeglang, with samples from classes X-9 and X-6 using purposive sampling. Students' critical thinking skills were measured using 15 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) based on Ennis' critical thinking indicators. The average critical thinking skill scores of the experimental and control groups in the adequate category. The N-Gain Score test and T-test (independent sample t-test) were used to determine the effectiveness of the learning model. The results showed that the use of OIDDE learning model was not effective in improving students' critical thinking skills.
