N2  - This research was conducted in Serang District, with a population of farmers
practicing cocoa cultivation, the selection of respondents was carried out
proportionally to the distribution of all cocoa farming areas, the number of
respondents was set at 100 according to the SEM analysis rules, namely 5 -10 times
the number of observed indicators, the goal of The aims of this research are to
know the role of agricultural extension workers. determine the level of
empowerment of cocoa farmers in Serang Regency, and what factors influence the
role of agricultural extension agents and the level of empowerment of cocoa
farmers, the method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method with 100
respondents according to SEM rules. The results of the study show that: The
characteristics of the respondents seen from the age of the majority are the age with
the age level in the Old category, the education level of the majority is low
equivalent to Elementary Schools, the area of farming land ownership is generally
Low (less than 0.3 Ha), and the experience of farming Cocoa is at Medium category.
External support which is expected to provide a stimulus to the success of cocoa
farming is in the low category. The role of agricultural extension agents for cocoa
farming in Serang Regency is in the category of results of SEM analysis using the
Lisrel program, it was found that the role of agricultural extension agents was
directly and significantly influenced by internal factors of 0.85 or 78.9% while
external factors were 0.03 or 6. 55%, the role of agricultural extension workers is
supported by indicators as educational educators (Y1); the role of extension agents
as Dissemination (Y12): Extension officers as Consultation (Y14) and Extension
officers as Supervision (Y15), mathematically the relationship is formulated as
follows Y1 = 0.85X1+0.03X2 with R2 0.75 or 75%. The empowerment level of
cocoa farmers is in the medium category which is dominated by external variable
support of 0.82 or 74.0%, while the internal support variable has a negative
direction of 0.21. Making Decisions (Y22); Gaining Market (Y23); Financial
Management Ability (Y24); Partnering ability (Y25): and Adaptability (Y26),
mathematically the relationship between the two variables is formulated as follows

N1  - Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kabupaten Serang, dengan populasi petani yang
melakukan budidaya kakao, pemilihan reponden dilakuan secara proporsional
dengan sebaran seluruh wilayah usaha tani kakao, jumlah responden ditetapkan
sebanyak 100 orang sesuai dengan aturan analisis SEM yakni 5 -10 kali dari
jumlah indikator pengamatan, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui peran
penyuluh pertanin . mengetahui tingkat keberdayaan petani Kakao dikabupaten
serang, dan factor factor apa saja memempengaruhi peran penyuluh pertanaian
dan tingkat Keberdayaan Petani kakao , metoda yang digunakan dalam penelitian
ini adalah metoda deskriptih kualitatif dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 100
orang sesuai dengan aturan SEM. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa:
Karakteristik responden dilihat dari usia sebagain besar merupaka usia dengan
tingkat umur pada kategori Tua, tingkat pendidikain mayoritas rendah setara
dengan Sekolah Dasar, luas kepemilikan laha usahatani umumnya Rendah (kurang
0,3 Ha), dan pengalaman berusahatani kakao berada pada kategori Sedang.
Dukungan ekternal yang diharapkan memberikan rangsangan pada keberhasilan
usahatani kakao berada pada katagori rendah. Peran Penyuluh Pertanian terhadap
usahatani kakao Kabupaten Serang berada pada kategori Hasil analisi SEM dengan
mengggunakan Program Lisrel diperoleh bahwa peran penyuluh pertanian
dipengaruhi secara langsung dan nyata oleh faktor internal sebesar 0,85 atau
78,9 % sedangkan Fakter external sebesar 0,03 atau 6,55%, Peran penyuluh
pertanian didukung oleh indikator sebagai pendidik Edukasi (Y1); peran penyuluh
sebagai Desiminasi (Y12): Penyuluh sebgai Konsultasi (Y14) dan Penyuluh
sebagai Supervisi (Y15), secara matematis hubungan tersebut di rumuskan sebagi
berikut Y1 = 0,85X1+0,03X2 denagan R2 0,75 atau 75%. Tingkat keberdayaan
petani kakao berada pada kategori sedang yang di dominasi oleh adanya dukungan
variable External sebesar 0.82 atau 74,0% sedangkan varibel dukunga internal
memiliki arah negative sebesar 0,21, tingkat keberdayaan petani Kakao
dipengaruhimoleh berfungsuina indikator kemampuan mendapatkan Informasi
(Y21); Mengambil Keputusan (Y22); Mendapatkan Pasar (Y23); Kemampuan
Mengelola Keuangan (Y24); Kemampuan bermitra (Y25): dan Kemampuan
Beradaptasi (Y26), secara matematik hubungan kedau variable tersebut dirumskan
sebagai berikut Y2 = -0,20X1 + 0,58X2 + 0,26Y1 ? R2 0,71.
