There are six stages of learning used in LAB Ri including orientation, Research design, Exploration, Analyze, Conclusion and Exhibition. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental method. The population in this study were students of SMAN 4 Kota Serang, the sample using Simple random sampling technique was students of class X IPA 5 as the experimental class and students of class X IPA 6 as the control class. The instrument used was an environmental literacy questionnaire consisting of three components, namely ecological knowledge, cognitive skills and environmental attitudes. The data analysis technique used the independent sample t-test (t-test). The results obtained from the independent sample t-test (t-test) on each component of environmental literacy have a significance value of <0.05, this means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, so there is an effect of the Learning by Research learning model on change material on students' environmental literacy.
