The research method used is quasi-experimental. The research design used is the pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. The population in this study was all students of class X SMAN 1 Cikande, while the selected samples were class X C as the control class and class X J as the experimental class. The sample selection used a simple random sampling technique. Data collection in this study used pretest and posttest questions, interview sheets with teachers, and observation sheets to implement learning. The data processing techniques used consisted of a normality test using the Shapiro-Wilk test, a homogeneity test using the Levene test, and a hypothesis test using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results showed that the average posttest score in the experimental class was 69.00, greater than the average posttest score in the control class of 60.67. In addition, the hypothesis test also shows a significance value of 0.00 <0.05, then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, so it can be concluded that using the RBL model in the scientific literacy abilities of high school students on virus material is effective.
