High schools description: Verbal bullying is a form of psychological violence commonly found in school environments and has serious impacts on students’ social and emotional development. This study aims to determine the effect of group counseling using the reality therapy approach on reducing verbal bullying behavior among eighth-grade students at SMPN 16 Kota Serang. The study employed a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The sample consisted of 16 students identified as having high levels of verbal bullying behavior, divided randomly into two groups: 8 students in the experimental group and 8 students in the control group. The research instrument was a 30-item Likert-scale questionnaire measuring verbal bullying behavior. The results showed that the experimental group’s average pretest score was 95.75, which decreased to 66.25 in the posttest, indicating an average reduction of 29.5 points. Meanwhile, the control group’s scores declined from 95.12 to 73.12, with a reduction of 22 points. The N-Gain score for the experimental group was -1.25, while the control group scored -0.90, both falling into the category of decreased behavior. The Mann-Whitney test revealed a significance value of Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.001, indicating a statistically significant difference between the two groups after the intervention.
