This research aims to find out the representation of disabled communication in the media through the dimensions of text, discursive practices and socio-cultural practices displayed in the drama. The researcher used Norman Fairclough's critical discourse analysis method. The data sources in this research are related to the scenes in the drakor Twinkling Watermelon that represent the communication barriers of individuals with disabilities and documents related to the research studied as information to solve the research problem. Norman Fairclough's critical discourse analysis method is used to conduct this analysis; First, the text dimension by revealing meaning through text analysis. Second, discourse practices that connect the process of text production and consumption. Third, the socio-cultural practice is linking the text production process with the socio-culture of a place where the media is located. The object of this research is the scene in the drakor Twinkling Watermelon which is related to the problem formulation. The results show that in the text dimension there are positive and negative text dimensions. In the discursive practice of this drama, it shows that communication with disabilities is not only limited to verbal language, but also involves symbols, gestures, and facial expressions as part of social interaction. Finally, the socio-cultural dimension in this drama illustrates that family support and social environment play an important role in shaping the communication of teenagers with disabilities. This shows that an inclusive social environment can help individuals with disabilities communicate more effectively. In addition, it was found that social stereotypes towards people with disabilities are still a challenge in communication. However, the media, especially in this drama, also provides a message that social change can occur through education and public awareness of the importance of inclusive communication. So from the results of this study, it is found that the representation of communication of disabled teenagers in the drama Twinkling Watermelon not only displays the challenges faced by disabled teenagers in communicating, but also provides a perspective on communication can be a tool to build closer relationships and create social inclusion. date: 2025-07-24 type: Thesis type: NonPeerReviewed format: text language: id identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/52641/1/LISA%20TRIE%20DEVIANTI_2290210066_FULL%20TEXT.pdf format: text language: id identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/52641/2/LISA%20TRIE%20DEVIANTI_2290210066_CP.pdf format: text language: id identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/52641/3/LISA%20TRIE%20DEVIANTI_2290210066_01.pdf format: text language: id identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/52641/4/LISA%20TRIE%20DEVIANTI_2290210066_02.pdf format: text language: id identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/52641/5/LISA%20TRIE%20DEVIANTI_229021006_03.pdf format: text language: id identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/52641/6/LISA%20TRIE%20DEVIANTI_2290210066_04.pdf format: text language: id identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/52641/7/LISA%20TRIE%20DEVIANTI_2290210066_05.pdf format: text language: id identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/52641/8/LISA%20TRIE%20DEVIANTI_2290210066_REF.pdf format: text language: id identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/52641/9/LISA%20TRIE%20DEVIANTI_2290210066_LAMP.pdf identifier: DEVIANTI, LISA (2025) REPRESENTASI KOMUNIKASI REMAJA DIFABEL DALAM DRAMA TWINKLING WATERMELON.
