Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 66 siswa kelas X SMAN 16 Pandeglang yang dipilih secara purposive sampling dengan pertimbangan tertentu. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa kuesioner literasi lingkungan yang mencakup tiga domain utama, yakni: kognitif, afektif dan psikomotor. Data dianalisis secara statistik deskriptif untuk mengetahui kecenderungan dan distribusi masing-masing domain literasi lingkungan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa literasi lingkungan siswa kelas X SMAN 16 Pandeglang pada domain kognitif sebesar 74% (sangat rendah), pada domain afektif sebesar 76% (baik), dan pada domain psikomotor sebesar 75,8% (baik). Secara umum, tingkat literasi lingkungan siswa pada domain afektif dan psikomotor lebih baik dibandingkan domain kognitif. Temuan ini bertentangan dengan konsep dasar literasi lingkungan yang menekankan pentingnya pengetahuan sebagai fondasi. Ketidakseimbangan ini menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan literasi lingkungan belum berjalan secara menyeluruh. Kedekatan lokasi sekolah dengan kawasan konservasi (Taman Nasional Ujung Kulon) juga belum sepenuhnya dimanfaatkan secara optimal dalam pembelajaran lingkungan. abstract: This study employed qualitative research methodologies, encompassing descriptive data analysis derived from direct observation, interviews, instruments, and informal conversations. The research sample consisted of 66 students from class X at SMAN 16 Pandeglang who were selected by purposive sampling with certain considerations. The instrument employed is an environmental literacy questionnaire that encompasses three primary domains: cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics to determine the tendency and distribution of each domain of environmental literacy. The findings indicated that the environmental literacy of students from Class X at SMAN 16 Pandeglang fell within the low to moderate range across the three domains of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. Specifically, the students demonstrated 74% environmental literacy in the cognitive domain, 76% in the affective domain, and 75.8% in the psychomotor domain. On the whole, students demonstrate superior environmental literacy in the affective and psychomotor domains in comparison to the cognitive domain. This finding is at odds with the fundamental notion of environmental literacy, which underscores the significance of knowledge as a foundational element. This discrepancy suggests that the development of environmental literacy has not been comprehensive.
