description: This study describes the gender dynamics within the Student Journalism Activity Unit (UKM Jurnalistik) at Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University, focusing on the inequality of gender roles. The aim of this research is to explore how gender-based role division occurs, the influencing factors, and how such inequality affects female participation and representation within the organization. This research uses a qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation, credibility checks, and confirmability. The theory used in this study is liberal feminism. Informants included active members, core management, and the organizational advisor. The findings indicate an imbalance in role distribution where technical and strategic roles are mostly occupied by male members, while female members are often placed in administrative tasks. Gender stereotypes, patriarchal culture, and organizational structure are identified as key inhibiting factors. On the other hand, individual awareness, internal organizational support, and direct experiences serve as driving factors for change. The study recommends internal evaluation and real implementation of gender equality principles in task distribution and decision-making processes.
