Fokus utama penelitian ini mencakup: (1) tahapan penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka di satuan PAUD (Mandiri Belajar, Mandiri Berubah, dan Mandiri Berbagi), (2) upaya yang dilakukan sekolah dalam menerapkan Kurikulum Merdeka, dan (3) peran monitoring oleh dinas pendidikan setempat terhadap pelaksanaan kurikulum tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi pada 10 satuan PAUD yang menjadi subjek penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas satuan PAUD berada pada tahap Mandiri Belajar, 2 satuan berada pada tahap Mandiri Berubah, dan belum ada satuan PAUD yang berada pada tahap Mandiri Berbagi. Guru mulai menerapkan pembelajaran berbasis proyek seminggu sekali dengan variasi aktivitas seperti membuat karya seni, menari tradisional, membuat minuman sehat, dan membaca tilawah. Upaya sekolah terlihat dari keterlibatan guru dalam komunitas belajar, pemanfaatan Platform Merdeka Mengajar (PMM), serta partisipasi dalam pelatihan dan webinar. Selain itu, pemanfaatan Alat Permainan Edukatif (APE) juga digunakan dalam mendukung kegiatan pembelajaran. Guru menggunakan APE dengan baik dari sekolah maupun dari lingkungan sekitar untuk menunjang eksplorasi dan aktivitas belajar anak, meskipun di beberapa sekolah penggunaannya belum optimal akibat keterbatasan sarana. Monitoring dari dinas pendidikan telah dilakukan, namun belum sepenuhnya efektif. Penelitian ini memberikan gambaran bahwa penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka di PAUD Kecamatan Serang masih dalam tahap transisi dan membutuhkan peningkatan kapasitas, dukungan teknis, serta penguatan peran pendamping oleh dinas pendidikan. Kata kunci : Kurikulum Merdeka, PAUD, Mandiri Belajar, Monitoring, Studi Kasus abstract: This study aims to describe the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Early Childhood Education (PAUD) institutions in the Serang District, Banten. The main focus of this research includes: (1) the stages of implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in PAUD institutions (Mandiri Belajar, Mandiri Berubah, and Mandiri Berbagi), (2) the efforts made by schools in implementing the Merdeka curriculum, and (3) the monitoring role of the local education office in overseeing theimplementation of the curriculum. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation at 10 PAUD institutions that served as researchsubjects. The findings indicate that most PAUD institutions are in the Mandiri Belajar stage, 2 institutions are in the Mandiri Berubah stage, and none have reached the mandiri berbagi stage. Teachers have started implementating project-based learning once a week with various acivities such as creating artwork, performing traditional dances, making healthy drinks, and reading tilawah. School efforts are reflected in teacher involvement in learning communities, utilization of the Merdeka Mengajar Platform (PMM), and participation in tranings and webinars. In addition, the use of Education Play Tools (APE) was also applied to support learning activities. Teachers made use of APEs provided by the school as well as those sourced from the surrounding environment to enhance exploration and active learning, although in some schools, the use of APEs was not yet optimal due to limited facilities. Monitoring from the local education office has been conducted, but it has not yet been fully effective. This study illustrates that the implemantation of the Merdeka Curriculum in PAUD institutions in the Serang District is still in a transtional phase and requires capacty building, technical support, and stronger mentoring roles from the education office.
