description: Duty scheduling is a crucial routine activity to ensure the smooth operation of   student organizations such as the Industrial Engineering Student Association   (HMTI) at Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University. However, its implementation often   faces conflicts between duty schedules and academic or personal commitments of   the members, and it fails to consider the comfort and safety of female members.   This study aims to compare the effectiveness of manual scheduling with scheduling   using a mathematical model based on Integer Linear Programming (ILP). The   results show that the manual schedule received a preference score of 219, with two   schedule conflicts and no consideration for female members' comfort. In contrast,   the mathematical scheduling models produced more optimal results: Model 1   achieved a preference score of 339 with no conflicts but without considering female   comfort, while Model 2 achieved a score of 335 with no conflicts and did consider   female comfort. Therefore, the second mathematical model is considered the most   effective solution for HMTI duty scheduling, as it accommodates member   preferences, avoids scheduling conflicts, and addresses safety concerns.
