description: Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem characterized by a child's height being lower than the standard for their age, due to inadequate nutrition from the prenatal period through early childhood. Buyut Mekar Village in Lebak Regency was designated as a priority locus for stunting intervention in 2024 due to its high prevalence rate. This study aims to examine the role of posyandu (integrated health post) cadres in addressing stunting among children in Buyut Mekar Village. The study employs a descriptive qualitative method with a field study approach through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that posyandu cadres perform three main roles: as educators, recorders, and mobilizers. They are actively involved in providing education, monitoring the growth and development of toddlers, and carrying out interventions through the Supplementary Feeding Program (PMT) for pregnant women at risk of giving birth to stunted children. Although there was a decrease in stunting cases from 48 in 2024 to 46 in 2025, the number remains relatively high. The presence and active participation of posyandu cadres, in collaboration with the community health center (puskesmas), have proven to play a crucial role in stunting reduction efforts in Buyut Mekar Village. This study recommends enhancing the capacity of cadres, providing adequate posyandu facilities, and strengthening cross-sectoral collaboration to significantly reduce stunting rates.
