            note = {Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena pentingnya penggunaan konjungsi agar terciptanya sebuah kalimat yang efektif dan padu pada sebuah teks terutama pada teks cerpen. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) Mengidentifiksi penggunaan dan pemahaman konjungsi yang digunakan siswa kelas VIII SMPIT Banten Islamic School pada teks cerpen; (2) Mendeskripsikan fungsi konjungsi pada teks cerpen karya siswa kelas VIII SMPIT Banten Islamic School, dan (3) Mendeskripsikan implementasinya sebagai bahan ajar pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di SMP berdasarkan hasil temuan dan hasil analisis penelitian. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode simak dengan teknik lanjutan teknik catat. Data penelitian ini adalah data tulis, yaitu kalimat yang mengandung penggunaan konjungsi dalam teks cerpen karya siswa kelas VIII SMPIT Banten Islamic School. Teknik pemeriksaan keabsahan data penelitian dilakukan dengan melakukan konfirmasi hasil temuan kepada penyidik/ahli. Teknik analisis penelitian ini menggunakan metode distribusional dengan teknik dasar berupa teknik bagi unsur langsung. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dan temuan penelitian diperoleh sebanyak 152 penggunaan konjungsi dalam 36 teks cerpen karya siswa kelas VIII SMPIT Banten Islamic School. Jumlah tersebut dibagi menjadi 85 penggunaan konjungsi koordinatif dan 67 penggunaan konjungsi subordinatif. Penggunaan konjungsi koordinatif berdasarkan fungsi pada teks cerpen karya siswa kelas VIII SMPIT Banten Islamic School yang dominan adalah fungsi penjumlahan dan pengurutan, sedangkan penggunaan konjungsi subordinatif berdasarkan fungsi pada teks cerpen karya siswa kelas VIII SMPIT Banten Islamic School yang dominan adalah fungsi penyebaban dan kesewaktuan.},

        abstract = {This research is motivated by the phenomenon of the importance of using conjunctions to create effective and cohesive sentences in a text, especially in short stories. The objectives of this research are (1) to identify the use and understanding of conjunctions by eighth-grade students of SMPIT Banten Islamic School in short stories; (2) to describe the function of conjunctions in short stories written by eighth-grade students of SMPIT Banten Islamic School; and (3) to describe its implementation as teaching materials for Indonesian language learning in junior high school based on the research findings and analysis results. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method. The data collection technique used in this research is the observation method with the advanced technique of note-taking. The research data consists of written data, namely sentences that contain the use of conjunctions in short story texts by eighth-grade students of SMPIT Banten Islamic School. The technique for verifying the validity of the research data is conducted by confirming the findings with investigators/experts. The analysis technique used in this research employs the distributional method with the basic technique of direct element division. Based on the analysis results and research findings, a total of 152 conjunctions were found in 36 short stories written by eighth-grade students of SMPIT Banten Islamic School. This number is divided into 85 uses of coordinating conjunctions and 67 uses of subordinating conjunctions. The dominant function of coordinating conjunctions in the short stories written by the eighth-grade students of SMPIT Banten Islamic School is the function of addition and contrast, while the dominant function of subordinating conjunctions in the short stories written by the eighth-grade students of SMPIT Banten Islamic School is the function of causation.}
