"This study identifies workforce diversity and intrinsic motivation as factors\r\npresumed to influence employee performance in a chemical industry company, with\r\nthe inclusion of ethical leadership as a moderating variable. The objective of this\r\nresearch is to examine the influence of workforce diversity, intrinsic motivation,\r\nand ethical leadership on employee performance, as well as the moderating effect\r\nof ethical leadership on the relationship between workforce diversity and intrinsic\r\nmotivation with employee performance. This study uses an explanatory survey\r\napproach. Each variable is measured by four indicators. The population consists\r\nof 270 employees of PT Mitsubishi Chemical Indonesia, with the sample size\r\ndetermined as 9 times 16 indicators, resulting in 144 randomly selected\r\nrespondents. The hypothesis testing results indicate that workforce diversity has a\r\npositive and significant effect on employee performance; intrinsic motivation has a\r\npositive and significant effect on employee performance; ethical leadership also\r\nhas a positive and significant effect on employee performance. However, ethical\r\nleadership does not moderate the relationship between workforce diversity and\r\nemployee performance, but it positively moderates the relationship between\r\nintrinsic motivation and employee performance. The study concludes that ethical\r\nleadership serves as a moderating variable that strengthens the influence of\r\nintrinsic motivation in improving employee performance."^^ .
