description: The study aims to determine the trophic state of Lake Situterate, located in Cikande   District, Serang Regency, Banten Province. The research employed a descriptive  exploratory method through field surveys and laboratory analyses of physical,   chemical, and biological water parameters. Sampling was conducted at five   purposively selected stations, with parameters measured including temperature, pH,   dissolved oxygen (DO), water transparency, chlorophyll-a, total nitrogen (TN),   total phosphorus (TP), and phytoplankton communities.   Evaluation of trophic state was carried out using the Trophic Index (TRIX) method,   supported by analyses of the saprobic index and plankton diversity. The results   showed that TRIX values ranged from 7,23 to 9,9 indicating a hypereutrophic status   at all stations. The dominance of phytoplankton classes were tolerant to pollution,   such as Euglenophyceae, reflects high nutrient and organic matter loads due to   anthropogenic activities. The results indicate that Lake Situterate is experiencing   severe eutrophication, which poses a risk to the aquatic ecosystem's balance if not   properly managed.
