Informal workers generally lack social security, formal employment contracts, and decent incomes, making them vulnerable to economic shocks and poverty. This phenomenon poses a significant challenge in achieving inclusive development, particularly in the context of Indonesia's demographic dividend and ongoing digital economic transformation. This study aims to analyze the influence of socio-economic variables, including the Percentage of the Poor Population, Economic Growth Rate, Average Years of Schooling, Domestic Investment (PMDN), Foreign Investment (PMA), and Economic Function Expenditure on the Proportion of Informal Sector Workers in 34 provinces of Indonesia during the period 2015–2023.   The method used is dynamic panel data regression with the Generalized Method of Moments (GMM) approach to address potential endogeneity and variable dynamics. The results indicate that in both the short and long term, the variables Economic Growth Rate, Domestic Investment, and Foreign Investment have a significant negative impact on the Proportion of Informal Sector Workers, while the Percentage of the Poor Population and the Lag in the Proportion of Informal Sector Workers have a significant positive impact in both the short and long term. On the other hand, Economic Function Expenditure and Average Length of Schooling do not show a significant effect in either the short or long term.
