description: Horticultural commodities have high economic value and good development  prospects in the market. Golden melon farming can be a golden opportunity to  develop a business in the agricultural sector. Each agricultural business product  experiences different stages in its product life cycle. The product life cycle can  explain the condition of a business in the market position, which can optimize the  evaluation of the business. The objective of this study is to analyze the business  stages and formulate alternative strategies that can be applied. The research  method in this study uses the Polli and Cook theory by analyzing the stages of the  product life cycle, namely the introduction stage, growth stage, maturity, and  decline stage. This research was conducted at the Umah Tani Agriculture UMKM  greenhouse on the golden melon commodity. At the growth limit of the golden melon  commodity, the results were 38.21 with a decline limit of -3.53 and a total  percentage value of sales volume changes of 190.7. Thus, based on the life cycle  limits of the Umah Tani Agriculture UMKM greenhouse on the golden melon  commodity, the product is in the growth cycle. Alternative strategies that can be  applied in developing the golden melon fruit business to extend its life cycle at the  maturity stage include paying attention to the marketing mix, namely price, place,  promotion, and product strategies.
