The purpose of this research is to obtain a heterogeneous catalyst for banana peel, to determine the optimal conditions for biodiesel synthesis from used cooking oil with a heterogeneous catalyst for banana peel, to determine the quality of biodiesel products by testing physical properties and chemical properties, and to obtain biodiesel products in accordance with SNI 7182:2015. The research was carried out by calcining the peel of the kepok banana with a furnace at a temperature of 550 and 600. Then the transesterification reaction was carried out by reacting to methanol and catalyst with a concentration of 2% and 3% concentrations to a temperature of 60 for one hour and inserting used cooking oil with a molar ratio of 1:6 and then reacted for 1, 2, and 3 hours. Catalysts were analyzed using FTIR, XRD, SEM-EDX, and BET methods. Biodiesel was analyzed for density, viscosity, yield, flash ℃℃℃point, cetane number, and GC-MS.
