The research employs a quantitative approach using a quasi experimental method with a pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. The population of the study consisted of all 10th-grade students at SMA Negeri 7 Kota Serang, with the sample comprising two classes: a control class and an experimental class. The sample was selected using cluster random sampling. Data were collected through both test and non-test instruments. Data analysis was conducted using an independent samples t-test with the assistance of SPSS 25.0 software. The hypothesis testing results showed a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000, indicating a significant effect of EDP on students' scientific literacy. The average scientific literacy score in the experimental class increased from 18.98 in the pretest to 89.64 in the posttest. The highest-scoring aspect of scientific literacy was the context aspect, with an average of 95.59. All stages of the EDP—define, learn, plan, try, test, and decide—contributed to improving students' scientific literacy.
