Tidak ada hubungan antara semua variabel perancu (usia, jenis kelamin, tingkat pendidikan, pekerjaan, durasi DM, durais ulkus, dan derajat ulkus) dengan kualitas hidup abstract: Background: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a metabolic system disorder in the form of increased blood sugar levels due to pancreatic gland dysfunction. One of the frequent complications is peripheral diabetic neuropathy which is at risk of causing foot ulcers and lower limb amputation. The impact can interfere with quality of life, but can be improved with family support. This study aims to determine the relationship between family support and quality of life in type II DM patients with diabetic ulcers at Banten Hospital. Methods: This study is descriptive analytic with cross-sectional design using HDFSS and DQoL-BCI questionnaire data. The sampling technique used was consecutive purposive sampling with a sample size of 51 people based on the calculation of the two proportions comparison test formula. The resulting data were analyzed univariately and bivariately using the SPSS 27.0 application. The tests used were chi-square test and fisher’s exact test. Results: The results of the study from a total of 51 respondents showed that they had good family support (68.6%) and poor family support (31.4%). As for the dependent variable, there were respondents with good quality of life (62.7%) and the remaining 37.3% had poor quality of life. As for the characteristics, most of the respondents were female (60.8%), non-elderly (60.8%), had a low level of education (76.5%), were still working (76.5%), had a short duration of DM < 5 years (74.5%) and ulcer duration < 6 months (78.4%), and had severe ulcers (grade 5 and grade 4), which amounted to 51%. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between family psychosocial support and quality of life (p=0.012). There was no association between all confounding variables (age, gender, education level, occupation, DM duration, ulcer duration, and ulcer degree) with quality of life. date: 2025 date_type: published pages: 139 institution: UNIVERSITAS SULTAN AGENG TIRTAYASA department: KEDOKTERAN thesis_type: sarjana thesis_name: sarjana citation: Fathin, Hurun'in (2025) HUBUNGAN DUKUNGAN PSIKOSOSIAL KELUARGA TERHADAP KUALITAS HIDUP PASIEN DIABETES MELITUS TIPE II DENGAN ULKUS DIABETIKUM DI RSUD BANTEN.
