The obstacle that causes it is the inappropriate method. Researchers are interested in using the Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) Learning Model and the Discovery Learning Model for learning to write anecdotal texts. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effect of implementing the Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) Learning Model, the effect of the Discovery Learning Model, and the difference in effect between the Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) Learning Model and the Discovery Learning Model on anecdotal text writing skills in class X of SMA Negeri 6 Tangerang Regency. This study uses a quantitative approach. The method used is an experimental method with a Pretest-Posttest control group design. The sampling technique uses a random sampling technique. The samples used are class X A as the experimental class and class X B as the control class. The data obtained are the results of the anecdote text writing test from the pretest and posttest which were tested with statistical calculations assisted by SPSS version 29. The results show the influence of the Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) Learning Model with an average pretest score of 44.8 and a posttest of 80.53. Then, the influence of the Discovery Learning Learning Model with an average pretest score of 46.8 and a posttest of 71.73. Finally, the results of the posttest difference show that the Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) Learning Model is superior with a difference of 8.8 points.
