In the context of the Cilegon Resort Police, the limited number of personnel has resulted in the delegation of excessive tasks to employees, which has the potential to cause stress and decreased performance. In addition, role conflict arises from role incongruence and overlapping directives, increasing the risk of disrupting work effectiveness. Perceived Organizational Support (POS) is considered as a factor that can reduce the negative impact of workload and role conflict on employee performance. This study aims to examine the effect of role conflict and workload on employee performance, as well as the moderating role of POS in the relationship. This study uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory design. Data were collected through questionnaires from 106 members of Bhabinkamtibmas Cilegon Police. Data analysis was carried out using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method. The results showed that role conflict has a positive and insignificant effect on employee performance, while workload has a negative but insignificant effect. In addition, POS is proven to positively and significantly moderate the effect of workload on performance, but is not significant in moderating the relationship between role conflict and performance. The conclusions of this study emphasize the importance of strengthening tangible organizational support in helping employees manage workload more effectively.
