Preventive Medicine description: Healthy and well-nourished workers are vital assets for a company's productivity. Excess body weight often results from an unbalanced diet and lack of physical activity, particularly among workers with a sedentary lifestyle. This study aims to analyze the effects of dietary intake regulation, eating habits, exercise habits, and physical activity on workers’ weight loss. The study used a quasi experimental design with a one group pre- and post-test approach. The research was conducted at PT. X in South Jakarta from January to March 2024, involving 39 workers as participants. Body weight monitoring and meal analysis were carried out over three months. The collected data included anthropometry, dietary intake, exercise habits, and physical activity using online forms. Descriptive analysis was used to describe the variables, and the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test was used to assess differences in body weight before and after the intervention. The results showed average intake among workers was 1398 kcal of energy; 58,6 g of protein; 48,7 g of fat; and 174,7 g of carbohydrates. Eating habits became more regular, healthier, and better controlled. About 23,1% of workers exercised adequately (≥150 minutes/week), while 84,6% had low physical activity (mostly sitting). There was a significant weight loss after the intervention, with an average reduction of 3,1 kg. A significant difference was found between body weight before and after the intervention (p-value = 0,000, <0.05).
