Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Negeri 17 Kota Serang kelas VII. Dengan subjek penelitian terdiri dari 60 siswa kelas VII yang dipilih secara acak. Penenlitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu tes tertulis pemecahan masalah matematis yang terdiri dari lima soal uraian dan angket adversity quotient yang terdiri dari dua puluh pernyataan. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji linearitas, uji keberartian regresi, dan regresi sederhana. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa adversity quotient memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dan besaran nilai koefesien determinasi menunjukkan besarnya pengaruh antara adversity quotient terhadap kemampuan pemechan masalah matematis siswa yaitu 0,161 artinya besaran kontribusi adversity quotient mempengaruhi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 17 Kota Serang sebesar 16,1% sisanya 83,9% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain diluar adversity quotient faktor lingkungan, genetik, lingkungan sosial yang berada di sekitar siswa, emosional yang dimiliki siswa, dan faktor lainnya. abstract: The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the adversity quotient on students' mathematical problem solving abilities. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 17 Kota Serang class VII. The research subjects consisted of 60 class VII students who were chosen randomly. This research uses a quantitative type of research. The instruments used in this research were a written mathematical problem solving test consisting of five description questions and an adversity quotient questionnaire consisting of twenty statements. The data analysis used is the linearity test, regression significance test, and simple regression.
