description: This study was motivated by the low level of Child Identity Card (KIA) ownership in Tangerang Regency, which only reached 41.48%, below the target of 50%. The objective of this study is to analyze the influence of public trust on community participation in KIA ownership at the Population and Civil Registration Office of Tangerang Regency. The study employs a quantitative method, with data collection conducted through the distribution of questionnaires to 100 respondents using proportional area purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression through SPSS software. The analysis results showed that public trust had a positive and significant effect on community participation in KIA ownership with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.342 or 34.2%. This indicates that 34.2% of the variation in community participation is influenced by public trust. The data were tested using validity, reliability, normality, linearity, and heteroscedasticity tests to ensure the validity of the research results. Public trust indicators such as credible commitment, honesty, kindness, competence, and fairness play an important role in increasing community participation. This study contributes to the development of public administration theory, particularly in relation to public trust and community participation, and provides recommendations for local governments to enhance public trust in the delivery of population services.
