%X This study aims to identify the position of the agricultural sector within the economic structure of Banten Province and to examine its growth prospects based on structural shifts that occurred during the 2015–2024 period. The agricultural sector plays a vital role in regional economic development, particularly in supporting food security, providing employment, and promoting local resource-based development. However, ongoing structural transformation associated with economic growth may reduce the prominence of this sector. This research employs a quantitative approach using the Location Quotient (LQ) analysis to determine whether the agricultural sector functions as a basic or non-basic sector, and the Shift-Share analysis to assess the dynamics of change and the sector’s contribution to regional growth compared to other sectors. The study uses secondary data from the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at constant 2010 prices over the period of 2015–2024. The results show that in most areas of Banten Province, the agricultural sector is classified as a non-basic sector, indicating a relatively smaller contribution to the regional economy compared to the national average. Nevertheless, the shift-share analysis reveals that in certain areas, the agricultural sector continues to demonstrate positive growth, suggesting potential for further development. Thus, despite undergoing a shift, the agricultural sector still holds strategic importance and should be supported through development policies that emphasize local advantages and sustainability.

%T POTENSI DAN PERGESERAN PADA SEKTOR PERTANIAN DI PROVINSI BANTEN
%O Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi posisi sektor pertanian dalam struktur ekonomi Provinsi Banten serta mengkaji prospek pertumbuhannya berdasarkan pergeseran struktural yang terjadi selama periode 2015–2024. Sektor pertanian memiliki peran penting dalam pembangunan ekonomi daerah, khususnya dalam mendukung ketahanan pangan, menyediakan lapangan kerja, dan mendorong pembangunan berbasis potensi lokal. Namun, transformasi struktural yang terus berlangsung seiring pertumbuhan ekonomi dapat mengurangi peranan sektor ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan analisis Location Quotient (LQ) untuk menentukan apakah sektor pertanian berfungsi sebagai sektor basis atau non-basis, serta analisis Shift-Share untuk menilai dinamika perubahan dan kontribusi sektor ini terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi daerah dibandingkan sektor lainnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder dari Produk Domestik Regional Bruto (PDRB) atas dasar harga konstan tahun 2010 selama periode 2015–2024. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa di sebagian besar wilayah Provinsi Banten, sektor pertanian diklasifikasikan sebagai sektor non-basis, yang mengindikasikan kontribusi relatif lebih kecil terhadap perekonomian daerah dibandingkan rata-rata nasional. Meskipun demikian, analisis shift-share menunjukkan bahwa di beberapa wilayah, sektor pertanian tetap menunjukkan pertumbuhan positif, yang mengindikasikan adanya potensi untuk dikembangkan lebih lanjut. Oleh karena itu, meskipun mengalami pergeseran, sektor pertanian tetap memiliki arti strategis dan perlu didukung melalui kebijakan pembangunan yang menekankan keunggulan lokal dan keberlanjutan.
