description: Velocity of Money (V) is the average number of times money changes hands in an economy, considered as the average number of times the national currency is spent each year. This study aims to analyze the influence of electronic money, Currency in Circulation, and monetary policy on the Velocity of Money in BRICS countries using panel data with the Pooled Mean Group (PMG) method. The research covers 6 BRICS nations, consisting of Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, and Indonesia.  Based on the research findings, it is shown that in the short term, electronic money, Currency in Circulation, and interest rates have a positive and significant effect on the Velocity of Money. Conversely, Exchange Rates and money supply (M2) have a negative and significant effect on the Velocity of Money, while inflation does not have a positive and significant effect. Meanwhile, in the long term, electronic money, Exchange Rates, interest rates, and inflation have a positive and significant effect, whereas Currency in Circulation and money supply (M2) have a negative and significant effect on the Velocity of Money. Policymakers are advised to prioritize a long-term perspective in designing economic and monetary policies to support growth and stability, especially in BRICS countries.
