description: This study aims to inventory the pest species that attack two varieties of bird’s eye chilli (Caliber and Sonar) in Kadubeureum Village, as well as to find out which varieties are more susceptible to pest attacks. The research was carried out from October to November 2024 using an exploratory descriptive method. Samples were taken randomly from two varieties of cayenne pepper grown on farmers' land. Sampling was carried out with two types of trap, namely yellow traps and sweep nets. The results of the inventory showed that the Caber variety had more types of pests, namely fruit flies (Drosophila melanogaster), leafhoppers (Empoasca fabae and Balclutha neglecta), and aphid beetles (Altica lythri). Meanwhile, in the Sonar variety, only one type of pest was found, namely the leaf grasshopper (Neoconocephalus triops), leaf slither fly (Liriomyza sativae). The Caliber variety has a higher susceptibility than the Sonar variety.
