description: This study aims to examine the application of the discovery learning model with the probing prompting technique on the mathematical concept understanding ability of junior high school students. The subjects of the study were students of class VIII F and VIII G of SMPN 10 Kota Serang in the 2024/2025 academic year. The research design used was a quasi-experimental study. The instruments used in the   study were a test instrument for students' mathematical concept understanding ability and a non-test instrument in the form of a student response questionnaire.   Based on the results of the study, the mathematical concept understanding ability of students who applied the discovery learning model with the probing prompting technique was better than students whose learning used conventional learning models. Not only that, the students' response was very good to the application of learning using the discovery learning model with the probing prompting technique.
