The research was conducted among teachers at public vocational high schools (SMK Negeri) in the Pandeglang region. The study was driven by issues including fluctuating teacher performance and mismatches between teachers’ educational backgrounds and their assigned teaching subjects. A quantitative approach was employed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) for data analysis. Data were collected from 100 teacher respondents through questionnaires and documentation. The results indicate that both competence and organizational support have a positive and significant effect on ..work motivation and teacher performance. Furthermore, work motivation has a significant influence on performance and successfully mediates the relationship between competence and performance, as well as between organizational support and performance.
