description: This study is entitled "Syntactic Representation in the Speech of People with Deaf  in Menes, Pandeglang Banten" and aims to describe the ability of people with deaf  and analyze the types of sentences based on the mode they use, namely declarative  sentences (news), interrogative (questions), imperatives (commands),  interpretation (exclamation), and optative (expectations). The background of this  research is based on the view that the main obstacles of people with deaf are not  merely inability to speak, but limited language skills as a whole, including  understanding of symbols and language rules. This study uses descriptive  qualitative methods by collecting data through observation, interviews, and  documentation of the speech of people with deaf in the area of Menes, Pandeglang.  The results showed that of the total 60 categorized speech data, as many as 27 data  (45%) were news sentences (declarative), 12 data (20%) question sentences  (interrogative), 18 data (30%) command sentences (imperative), 1 data (1.6%) call  sentences, and 2 data (3.4%) sentences (optative). This finding gives an overview  of the syntactic patterns commonly used by people with deaf in the study area and  show the trend of using declarative sentences as the most dominant form of speech
