High schools subject: QA Mathematics description: This study aims to determine the effect of the problem-based learning model with the STEAM approach on students' mathematical critical thinking ability and students' response to mathematics learning by using the problem-based learning model with the STEAM approach. This research uses a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design of the nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group type. The population of this study was all ninth-grade students in SMPN 10 in Serang City, while the samples used were two classes totaling 72 students: class IX E as an experimental class that applied the problem-based learning model with a STEAM approach and class IX A as a control class that applied a collaborative learning model. The data collection techniques used in this study were a critical thinking skills test and a student response questionnaire.
