This research was conducted in Tonjong, Toyomerto and Pejaten Villages, Kramatwatu Sub-district, Serang Regency. Primary data sources were obtained using interviews and questionnaires with 85 farmers as data samples in this study. Policy Analysis Matrix (PAM) is used as a research analysis to determine the financial and economic advantages, the value of comparative and comparative and competitive advantages, and the impact of government policies on the output-input of shallot farming.   The results showed that shallot farming in Kramatwatu sub-district, Serang district has competitiveness both competitively and comparatively characterized by a Privat Cost Ratio of 0.283 and a Domestic Resource Cost Ratio of 0.483 where the cost of generating 1 income is smaller than 1. The impact of input and output policies shows effective protection of shallot farming. The impact of policies on shallot commodities shows the Nominal Protection Coefficient Input value of 0.99 < 1 indicating that the input price paid by farmers is 1% lower than the social price or 99% of the shadow price. the Nominal Protection Coefficient Output value of 1.38 < 1 indicates that farmers receive output prices 38% higher than their social value, this reflects the existence of price protection that protects commodities. The Effective Protection Coefficient value of 1.71 > 1 indicates that the value added received by farmers is 71% higher than the value added under market conditions without policy.
