Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui potensi bakteri rizosfer rumput teki untuk menghambat pertumbuhan penyakit antraknosa pada buah cabai merah yang disebabkan oleh jamur Colletotrichum sp. secara in vitro, serta mengidentifikasi karakteristik morfologi koloni, sifat gram, dan patogenitas pada masing-masing isolat bakteri rizosfer rumput teki. Penelitian disusun menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) non-faktorial dengan satu faktor yang terdiri atas 14 perlakuan, yaitu 13 isolat bakteri rizosfer rumput teki yang ditemukan di sekitar tanaman cabai dan satu perlakuan kontrol sebagai pembanding. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa isolat BRR 3 menunjukkan kemampuan penghambatan yang sangat kuat terhadap jamur Colletotrichum sp., yang ditunjukkan oleh diameter zona hambat yang besar dan persentase penghambatan yang tinggi. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa BRR 3 memiliki potensi besar sebagai agen hayati pengendali penyakit tanaman. Karakterisasi morfologi dari masing-masing isolat bakteri rizosfer rumput teki ditemukan bervariasi, dominasi sifat gram pada bakteri gram negatif, dan sebagian besar bakteri tersebut tergolong non patogen. Kata kunci: agen pengendalian hayati, Colletotrichum sp., bakteri rizosfer rumput teki, cabai merah abstract: ABSTRACT Red chili is one of the horticultural commodities with strong development and marketing prospects; however, its production fluctuates annually. This study aimed to evaluate the potential of sedge grass rhizosphere bacteria to inhibit the in vitro growth of anthracnose disease caused by the fungus Colletotrichum sp., and to identify the colony morphology, gram characteristics, and pathogenicity of each bacterial isolate. The research was arranged using a non-factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with a single factor consisting of 14 treatments: 13 isolates of sedge grass rhizosphere bacteria found around chili plants and one control treatment for comparison. The results showed that the BRR 3 isolate exhibited a very strong inhibitory effect against Colletotrichum sp., as indicated by a large inhibition zone diameter and a high percentage of inhibition. This suggests that BRR 3 has strong potential as a biological control agent for plant disease management. The morphological characterization of the bacterial isolates revealed variation among them, with gram-negative bacteria being dominant and the majority classified as non-pathogenic.
