Obstacles in the implementation of legal frameworks highlight the urgent need for stronger coordination among governments, international organizations, and local communities to ensure that internationally agreed legal instruments are effectively enforced. This study addresses the primary research question like how is the legal protection of children in armed conflict regulated under the 1949 Geneva Conventions, and to what extent is it implemented in practice. The research aims to examine the mechanisms of child protection in armed conflict through the lens of the 1949 Geneva Conventions, while also promoting the integration of children's rights into global peace and security agendas. The method employed is normative legal research using a qualitative approach through library research, supported by juridical analysis of international legal instruments and secondary data sources. The findings indicate that the 1949 Geneva Conventions explicitly regulate child protection through two main legal approaches: preventive and repressive. Nevertheless, as demonstrated in the conflict between Hezbollah and Israel, the implementation of such protections faces significant challenges. Numerous children have lost their lives, sustained permanent injuries, suffered severe psychological trauma, and endured inhumane living conditions due to the failure of legal enforcement amidst armed conflict. The study concludes that despite the existence of comprehensive legal instruments, their effectiveness remains heavily dependent on political commitment, multi-level coordination, and security stability to ensure the actual protection of children in war-affected areas. date: 2025 type: Thesis type: NonPeerReviewed format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/50100/2/EKA%20PUTRI%20KHAIRUNNISA_111210212_FULL%20TEXT.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/50100/3/EKA%20PUTRI%20KHAIRUNNISA_111210212_01.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/50100/4/EKA%20PUTRI%20KHAIRUNNISA_111210212_02.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/50100/5/EKA%20PUTRI%20KHAIRUNNISA_111210212_03.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/50100/6/EKA%20PUTRI%20KHAIRUNNISA_111210212_04.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/50100/7/EKA%20PUTRI%20KHAIRUNNISA_111210212_05.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/50100/8/EKA%20PUTRI%20KHAIRUNNISA_111210212_REFF.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/50100/9/EKA%20PUTRI%20KHAIRUNNISA_111210212_LAMP.pdf identifier: Khairunnisa, Eka Putri (2025) PERLIDUNGAN TERHADAP ANAK PADA KONFLIK BERSENJATA DITINJAU DARI KONVENSI JENEWA 1949 (Studi Kasus Terhadap Anak-Anak Korban Konflik Bersenjata di Lebanon dan Israel).
