description: Lebak Regency is an area that often experiences landslides, due to its diverse morphological conditions including plains, steep hills with a slope of <25% (gentle, undulating, steep), and mountains. The geological and lithological conditions of Lebak Regency have high rainfall ranging from 2,000 - >4000 mm/year. This research aims to determine whether rainfall, slope, soil type, and land use can influence the occurrence of landslide disaster areas and to map landslide prone areas in Lebak Regency. This research uses spatial analysis method with the approach of Scoring, Weighting (Complete Mapping Analysis) and overlay method, utilizing Geographic Information System (GIS). Landslide prone map is an overlay between rainfall map, slope map, soil type map, and land use map. The results obtained from the landslide prone area map are low landslide prone area reaching 65,986.09 Ha (20.42%), medium landslide prone area reaching 245928.92 Ha (76.1%), and high landslide prone area reaching 11,262.20 Ha (3.48%). One of the landslide prone areas is Cibeber Sub-district. The main cause of landslide potential is slope, some areas with high landslide potential have steep slopes that have the highest weight of 33%. Not only slope, landslides also occur during high rainfall with a weight of 23%, as well as podzolic soil type and land use of forest/plantation and moor/ rice field with a weight of 22%.
