description: Parenting patterns greatly affect children's development, from early childhood to adulthood. Different parenting patterns, such as authoritarian, permissive, democratic, or neglect, affect children's development and behavior. Child development is very important to pay attention to from an early age, one of which is children's mental health which must be considered properly through providing parenting patterns in the family and support in the surrounding environment. The purpose of this study was to determine how parenting patterns affect the mental health of children aged 4-5 years in Sindangsari Village, Pasar Kemis District, Tangerang Regency. The method applied is quantitative using an ex post facto approach. This study involved 35 parents who have children aged 4 to 5 years as samples and sampling was carried out in the Sindangsari Village area. This study was analyzed by applying a simple linear regression test as a hypothesis test. The final findings showed that parenting patterns have a significant influence on children's mental health. Thus, this study indicates that the more attention parents give to implementing a good parenting style, the better the child's mental health will be. In other words, each type of parenting implemented by parents has an important contribution to children's mental health.
