Jeruju (Acanthus ilicifolius) merupakan tumbuhan liar yang tumbuh di hutan mangrove yang memiliki ciri khas berupa daun hijau tua dengan tepi bergerigi tajam seperti duri, menyerupai bentuk daun holly. Jenis fiksator tawas, tunjung, dan kapur tohor memiliki kemampuan untuk mengikat zat warna dan serat kain. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menentukan larutan fiksator yang terbaik dalam menghasilkan ecoprint daun jeruju (A. ilicifolius) pada kain katun berdasarkan karakterisasi perbedaan fiksator kapur tohor, tunjung, dan tawas Pembuatan ecoprint dan analisis laboratorium dilakukan di Laboratorium Teknologi Hasil Perairan, Jurusan Ilmu Perikanan, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa. Pengujian kain dilakukan di Laboratorium Teknologi Hasil Perairan, Jurusan Ilmu Perikanan, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa dan Laboratorium Manufaktur dan Pengujian Tekstil, Universitas Islam Indonesia. Penelitian ini berbentuk eksperimental laboratorium yang terdiri dari 3 taraf perlakuan yaitu fiksator tawas, tunjung, dan kapur tohor dengan masing-masing 3 kali ulangan. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa ecoprint daun jeruju (A. ilicifolius) dengan fiksator tunjung memiliki motif yang jelas dan tajam serta menghasilkan warna pine green atau hijau pekat, aroma yang dihasilkan menyengat khas logam kuat, ketahanan luntur warna terhadap sinar terang hari menghasilkan nilai 4,33 (Baik), ketahanan luntur warna terhadap deterjen 2,33 (kurang), ketahanan luntur warna terhadap keringat asam dan basa 4,5 (baik), ketahanan luntur warna terhadap gosokan basah 3,16 (cukup), ketahanan luntur warna terhadap gosokan kering 3,50 (cukup baik), dan nilai ketuaan warna 40,18. abstract: Ecoprint is a natural printing technique on fabric using various types of organic materials by utilizing natural motifs and colors contained in plants. Jeruju (Acanthus ilicifolius) is a wild plant that grows in mangrove forests that has the characteristic of dark green leaves with sharp serrated edges like thorns, resembling the shape of holly leaves. Alum, tunjung, and quicklime are fixators that have the ability to bind dyes and fabric fibers. The purpose of this study was to determine the best fixator solution in producing ecoprints of jeruju leaves (A. ilicifolius) on cotton fabrics based on in characterization. This study was conducted from December to January 2025. Ecoprint production and laboratory analysis were conducted at Aquatic Product Technology Laboratory of the Fisheries Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University. While fabric testing was conducted at Aquatic Product Technology Laboratory of the Fisheries Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University and Textile Manufacturing and Testing Laboratory, Islamic University of Indonesia. This study is a laboratory experiment consisting of 3 levels of treatment, namely alum, tunjung, and quicklime fixators with 3 repetitions each.
