However, in fact, the mathematical connection skills possessed by most students are still very low where students have not been able to create mathematical models from story problems, have difficulty relating mathematical concepts, and there are still many errors when carrying out calculation procedures. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of Problem Based Learning on the mathematical connection skills of junior high school students in terms of Adversity Quotient (AQ). AQ is a form of intelligence that humans have when faced with a difficulty, how they survive in these difficulties and can face them. This study is a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental method and a non-equivalent control group design. The sample in this study was 34 students in the experimental class and 36 students in the control class. Data analysis techniques were carried out by testing research instruments, testing analysis prerequisites and testing hypotheses using the t-test (Independent Sample T-test). Based on the research results, it was found that the mathematical connection ability of students who implemented Problem Based Learning was better than students who implemented conventional learning in terms of high, medium, and low Adversity Quotient.
