Namun faktanya, kemampuan koneksi matematis yang dimiliki oleh sebagian besar siswa masih sangat rendah dimana siswa belum mampu membuat model matematika dari soal cerita, sulit mengaitkan antarkonsep matematika, dan masih terdapat banyak kesalahan saat melakukan prosedur perhitungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan Problem Based Learning terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa SMP ditinjau dari Adversity Quotient (AQ). AQ merupakan salah satu bentuk kecerdasan yang dimiliki manusia saat dihadapkan dengan suatu kesulitan, bagaimana ia bertahan dalam kesulitan tersebut dan bisa menghadapinya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen semu dan desain non-equivalent control group design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 34 siswa kelas eksperimen dan 36 siswa kelas kontrol. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan pengujian instrumen penelitian, pengujian prasyarat analisis serta uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji t (Independet Sample T-test). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh bahwa kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa yang menerapkan Problem Based Learning lebih baik dibandingkan siswa yang menerapkan pembelajaran konvensional ditinjau dari Adversity Quotient tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Selain itu, peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa yang menerapkan Problem Based Learning juga lebih baik dibandingkan siswa yang menerapkan pembelajaran konvensional ditinjau dari Adversity Quotient tinggi, sedang, dan rendah.}, url = {https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/49841/}, abstract = {Mathematical connection skills are essential in mathematics learning so that students can relate and find relationships between concepts in mathematics, both relationships between concepts between mathematical topics, relationships with concepts from other branches of study, and with everyday life. However, in fact, the mathematical connection skills possessed by most students are still very low where students have not been able to create mathematical models from story problems, have difficulty relating mathematical concepts, and there are still many errors when carrying out calculation procedures. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of Problem Based Learning on the mathematical connection skills of junior high school students in terms of Adversity Quotient (AQ). AQ is a form of intelligence that humans have when faced with a difficulty, how they survive in these difficulties and can face them. This study is a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental method and a non-equivalent control group design. The sample in this study was 34 students in the experimental class and 36 students in the control class. Data analysis techniques were carried out by testing research instruments, testing analysis prerequisites and testing hypotheses using the t-test (Independent Sample T-test). Based on the research results, it was found that the mathematical connection ability of students who implemented Problem Based Learning was better than students who implemented conventional learning in terms of high, medium, and low Adversity Quotient. In addition, the increase in mathematical connection ability of students who implemented Problem Based Learning was also better than students who implemented conventional learning in terms of high, medium, and low Adversity Quotient.}, keywords = {Problem Based Learning, Mathematical Connection Ability, Adversity Quotient Problem Based Learning, Kemampuan Koneksi Matematis, Adversity Quotient} }
